Introduction
At St. Anthony of Padua parish in Temperance, MI, we are proud to be the home of the John A. Kenna council of the Knights of Columbus. Our Mission
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Our mission is to provide charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism to our members and our communities. We believe that by putting our faith into action, we can make a positive impact on the world around us.
Our council’s mission is to serve the parish of St. Anthony of Padua and the surrounding community through various service projects and events. Some of the ways we do this include:
- Donating to local charities and organizations
- Serving at community events
- Hosting fundraisers to support our charitable efforts
- Providing support and resources to our members and their families
Service Projects
One of the ways that our council puts our mission into action is through our service projects. We believe that by serving others, we are serving God.
One of our biggest service projects is our annual Tootsie Roll Drive. This fundraiser supports local organizations that serve people with intellectual disabilities. Each year, our council goes out into the community to collect donations from generous individuals and businesses.
We also provide support to our parish through our Fish Fry dinners during Lent, and our annual Christmas tree sale, which raises funds for our council’s charitable efforts.
Brotherhood
At the heart of our council is the idea of brotherhood. We believe that by coming together as men of faith, we can support and uplift each other in our personal and spiritual lives.
Our council hosts regular meetings, social events, and spiritual retreats to foster this brotherhood. We also provide resources and support to members and their families in times of need.
